March 8th, 2008 on Hartwell ReportThe South Carolina Bass Anglers Invitation Trail (SC-BAIT) had its second Lake Hartwell tournament of the season on March 8, 2008. 17 boats braved gale-force winds and snow to fish.
At the put-in 3 1/2 foot swells were washing over the docks and marina, but with a quick vote the die-hard anglers chose not to reschedule and to go ahead and fish.
Gary Rogers, one of the tournament directors reported that first, second and third place were all very close and the winning team was Crider and Harrison with 16.5 pounds. Second place was the team of Fowler and Fowler with 15.7 pounds, and in third place Aiken and Rohaley also had over 15 pounds.
