Don Applegarth Passes Away!
  
 
Donald Albert Applegarth
July 23, 1958-March 5, 2007

Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Little-Davenport Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 6 p.m. for Donald Albert Applegarth, 48, of Gainesville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007. Mr. Applegarth died Monday, March 5, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Applegarth was born in Cobb County on July 23, 1958. He was a member of Lanier Christian Church and a former pressman for IPD Printing in Chamblee. Mr. Applegarth was a pro staff writer for the "Inside Line" and a moderator for the Bass Boat Central (BBC) Web site.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Janet M. Applegarth, Gainesville; children, Annie Maston, Ohio, Jessie Applegarth, Ohio, Sarah Applegarth, Gainesville, and Chris Applegarth, Gainesville; one sister, Linda Applegarth, Florida; one brother, William Applegarth; one granddaughter, Katie Maston, Ohio; along with other relatives and loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Don Applegarth

lived in the midst of some of the country's best bassing the Peach State of Georgia. Don's home lake was Lanier, and he's was a veteran of several bass clubs and tournament circuits. During 2001, Don fished the Wal-Mart BFL Bulldog and Bama Division (Co-Angler). On the web, Don was moderator for BassfishingUSA's Forum.
